Job Description

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health Solutions is expanding and looking for motivated independent and dependent therapists/counselors for our Zanesville Ohio behavioral health outpatient office.

Therapist/Counselor Position: Position is for a Full-Time (Monday-Friday) position with great benefits and compensation! Independent licensure preferred but not required. Must have either LISW, LPCC, LSW, or LPC licensure. Those with independent licensures will be eligible for supervisor positions.

The Therapist position will provide individual and group therapy to clients with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.

Cambridge Therapist Job


RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST - PRN (Frazeysburg, Ohio) 

Job Description

The Recovery Support Specialist’s primary responsibility is for the care and supervision of adults residing at The Landing at Cedar Ridge - a comprehensive drug & alcohol recovery center. Recovery Support Specialists are responsible for implementing assigned treatment services, including physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being and maintaining accurate daily documentation of services provided. Part time position available.

Qualifications: An individual in this position must be able to complete the above responsibilities on a daily basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • All Support Specialists must be at least 21 years of age and must have completed high school or its equivalency
  • Chemcial Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certificate preferred but not required
  • An Associates degree in a social service field preferred but not required
  • Prior experience working with substance abuse and/or mental health individuals
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • High-quality written and verbal skills
  • Must be willing to get Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certificate if requested by administration.

Job Schedule, Working Conditions, and Performance/Physical Requirements

  • Hiring for PRN position.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekend and holidays
  • Qualified applicants are required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes a fingerprint background screening, and drug screen. Any employment offer is contingent upon receipt of all satisfactory pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise clients in his or her charge assuring that a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained for all clients
  • Handle emergency situations such as environmental, weather related and physical injury and provide crisis intervention
  • Develop and consistently implement predictable routines for daily functioning, including wake-up, hygiene, meals, and bedtime.
  • Oversee the completion of resident chores
  • Plans and organizes activities and educational groups for residents which promote change and growth in areas identified on their Individual Service Plans.
  • Monitor resident behavior, functioning and symptoms, as well as progress towards treatment goals and objectives.
  • Present as a role model for residents in establishing relationships, maintains professional care/client boundaries
  • Complete all required paperwork daily and participate and satisfactorily complete all required training, supervision and team meetings
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
  • Interacts verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and representatives from outside agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information and records
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures
  • In times of need, may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by his or her supervisor.
