RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Frazeysburg, Ohio) 

Job Description

Full and Part-Time Positions available for all shifts. 

The Recovery Support Specialist’s primary responsibility is for the care and supervision of adults residing at one of our residential treatment facilities (comprehensive drug & alcohol recovery centers and withdrawal management facilities). Recovery Support Specialists are responsible for implementing assigned treatment services, including physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being and maintaining accurate daily documentation of services provided. 

Qualifications: An individual in this position must be able to complete the above responsibilities on a daily basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • All Support Specialists must be at least 21 years of age and must have completed high school or its equivalency
  • Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certificate preferred but not required
  • An Associates degree in a social service field preferred but not required
  • Prior experience working with substance abuse and/or mental health individuals
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • High-quality written and verbal skills
  • Must be willing to get Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certificate if requested by administration.

Job Schedule, Working Conditions, and Performance/Physical Requirements

  • Hiring for both full and part-time positions on all shifts.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekend and holidays
  • Qualified applicants are required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes a fingerprint background screening, and drug screen. Any employment offer is contingent upon receipt of all satisfactory pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise clients in his or her charge assuring that a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained for all clients
  • Handle emergency situations such as environmental, weather related and physical injury and provide crisis intervention
  • Develop and consistently implement predictable routines for daily functioning, including wake-up, hygiene, meals, and bedtime.
  • Oversee the completion of resident chores
  • Plans and organizes activities and educational groups for residents which promote change and growth in areas identified on their Individual Service Plans.
  • Monitor resident behavior, functioning and symptoms, as well as progress towards treatment goals and objectives.
  • Present as a role model for residents in establishing relationships, maintains professional care/client boundaries
  • Complete all required paperwork daily and participate and satisfactorily complete all required training, supervision and team meetings
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
  • Interacts verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and representatives from outside agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information and records
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures
  • In times of need, may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by his or her supervisor.

CHEF/COOK (Cambridge, Ohio)

Job Description  

Cedar Ridge is seeking a full-time Cook within the Culinary Department at our new Withdrawal Management facility located in Cambridge, Ohio - The Residence at Cedar Ridge.  Position will prepare, season, and cook meat, fowl, vegetables, soups and deserts, and portion servings. Previous cooking experience for large quantities of people in a restaurant or hospital is preferred.

SIGN ON BONUS- $1,000.00

Position will report to the Dietary Supervisor.

Services will be provided within our Withdrawal Management Facility in Cambridge, Ohio - The Residence at Cedar Ridge.
